Blended Learning vs Traditional Learning: Which one is more effective?

As a new arrival to information and communication technologies, computers and mobile phones have developed new ways to assist students in the process of learning a foreign language. This study examines whether blended learning or traditional learning is more effective and investigates the students' perception of the differences between the two courses The subjects for this research were twenty-nine Senior High School students of North Sumatera. In conducting this research, the researcher used the qualitative method to analyze the data. The data were collected through a closed questionnaire that consisted of fifteen questions, which means that the questions were multiple choices. Respondents can only answer questions using the available options in this manner. Then, the researcher analyzed the data based on the questions one by one to get the point. The result shows that it was found that most of the students prefer to study by using Blended learning over traditional learning and they also said that blended learning is more effective because it is a new way to learn, fun, easier to understand, and many other reasons.
