Abstract
In the era of digital transformation, organizations are increasingly encouraged to adopt integrated information systems, such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, to enhance business process efficiency and improve decision quality. However, the success of ERP implementation remains a significant challenge, as organizational readiness, business process maturity, and human resource competencies are widely recognized as more critical determinants of implementation success than the technology itself. This community service program aimed to enhance industry practitioners' competencies in understanding ERP implementation strategies through the ERP Readiness Framework. The program was conducted as a two-day interactive training consisting of lectures, group discussions, case studies, and learning evaluations. The training covered ERP fundamentals, the ERP life cycle, the ERP Readiness Framework, Critical Success Factors (CSFs), risk mitigation strategies, and the ERP Maturity Model. The results indicate that the participant gained a more comprehensive understanding of ERP implementation as an integral component of business transformation, acquired the ability to identify critical success factors for ERP implementation, assessed organizational readiness based on the four key dimensions of Business Process Readiness, Technology Readiness, People Readiness, and Organization Readiness, and developed context-specific risk mitigation strategies tailored to organizational needs. The application of the ERP Readiness Framework added value to the training by strengthening both conceptual understanding and analytical capabilities in assessing organizational readiness for ERP implementation. This community service initiative is expected to serve as an effective competency development model for industry practitioners in supporting more successful, sustainable, and organization-wide digital transformation initiatives.
