Abstract

The Smart Parking design aims to create a microcontroller-based system that can inform and direct drivers to empty parking slots. This system uses Infra Red sensor, ESP32 WiFi module, ESP32-CAM, LCD, servo, and IoT technology to monitor and manage parking slots. The results show that the LCD is able to display information on occupied and empty parking slots, and monitoring can be done via smartphone using a local Web Server. The entrance crossbar uses a servo that will open with a delay of 1 second if it detects a vehicle at a distance of less than 5 cm, while a distance of more than that indicates no vehicle. The delay of the Infra Red sensor when detecting a car is 0.094 seconds, which is in the standard category. The system is designed for various parking locations such as hotels, campuses, and apartments, although this study only used a few parking slots as samples. Smart Parking provides an efficient solution for parking management with technology integration that supports user comfort and convenience.
