Abstract

Currently, bridges for ship crossings with open - closed systems in Indonesia are still done manually which must be maintained continuously with human power. Several problems occurred on this bridge due to negligence and ineffectiveness of work on the bridge. For that we need a bridge that works automatically which is safer and more effective. Based on the results of testing and analysis on the design of opening and closing the bridge automatically, the IR Obstacle sensor detects when the light conditions are bright, the sensor is able to detect quite far, namely 6.5 cm and 9 cm. Meanwhile, in dark conditions, the sensor is detected quite close at a distance of 3.2 cm and 4.5 cm. When there is a sensor ship it has a voltage of 0.14V and when there is no sensor ship it has a voltage of 4.08V. After several experiments, the bridge opens with an angle of 64˚, with the initial position when closed is 90˚ and when it is open the servo angle is 154˚. When the servo is active it has a voltage of 6.09 V and when it is not active it has a voltage of 0V. On the land traffic road there is a traffic light that functions as a road controller between land traffic and sea traffic, there is also an LCD as an information display when ships pass or leave with a voltage of 4.03V and finally there is a buzzer as an alarm that the ship will pass by voltage 3.65V
